Why am I having trouble signing the petition?
Due to the overwhelming response to the Global Women's Call, a large number of people are accessing the website at the same time. This in turn may slow other people's access. If this is happening, we advise that you return to the site at a later time to sign up. We thank you for your patience. If you continue to have trouble or see a problem that you think is out of the ordinary, please notify webmistress@codepinkalert.org.

How do I print a copy of the petition?
The Call can be downloaded in several languages from the website and distributed to your friends. The "download resources" link in the navigation bar takes you to a page where you can download and print documents of the call in several languages, as well as a spreadsheet to make it easy for you to collect names.
If you do collect names in hard copy, keep the sheet and deliver the names to the U.S. embassy in your area if you are overseas! You can also enter the names, email addresses, city and state into the excel spreadsheet and email it to info@womensaynotowar.org. If your only option is to mail the petition to us, please drop it in the mail to:
WOMEN SAY NO TO WAR 2017 Mission Street San Francisco. CA 94110

Please ask the director of your organization if your group would like to join the Call, and help the campaign by spreading the word through your group's email lists. | GENERAL INFORMATION |
Why women?
Women Say No To War is not a campaign exclusively for women -- we invite men to join us -- but we are particularly eager to see mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and daughters, female workers, students, teachers, healers, artists, writers, singers, poets and all outraged woman rise up and oppose the war in Iraq. In any war, but particularly in this war in Iraq, women and children bear the brunt of the cost of war. We are the ones who have to cope with destroyed infrastructure, unsafe streets, and lack of sanitation. Here in the US, our children and women are watching as federal funds are siphoned away from schools and healthcare into what seems to be an endless war. Because we bear this cost, we are vital to the peacemaking process, and we should initiate it.
Women have been the guardians of life -- not because we are better or purer or more innately nurturing than men, but because the men have busied themselves making war. Because of our responsibility to the next generation, because of our own love for our families and communities, it is time we women devote ourselves wholeheartedly to the business of making peace.
